DETROIT – A winter storm watch has been issued for seven counties in Southeast Michigan from Wednesday into Thursday.
The watch includes Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, St. Clair, Lapeer, Genesee, and Sanilac counties.
It begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, and ends at 7 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025.
Our weather team issued a 4Warn Weather alert for Wednesday night into Thursday morning because the snowfall and/or wintry mix will affect both days.
While the exact details of the storm are still being fine-tuned over the next two days, widespread snow is expected.
The position and track of the storm will have a great impact on how much snow falls. Right now, it appears the wintry mix will stay to the southeast, but that could change.
