After a mild end of the week with high temperatures into the upper 40s and lower 50s, we’ve got some much colder changes on the way looking ahead into the weekend.
Once this cold front rolled through the region late last night, temperatures hit their high for Saturday near midnight into the upper 30s and we will continue to see temperatures fall throughout the day. Expect temperatures into the 20s for most of the day, and we will see a filtered sunshine for Saturday. Winds will continue to be breezy throughout the day, gusting as high as 35 to possibly 40 miles an hour into the afternoon. Winds will start to relax as we head into the evening and overnight hours tonight.
Expect a few clouds to stick around into the early portions of the overnight, before skies go mainly clear overnight and that leads to plenty of Sunshine for the end of the weekend on Sunday. But expect the colder changes to be sticking around as well. High temperature is heading for the lower 30s by Sunday afternoon.
After a cold weekend, we will start another dose of weather whiplash with another warm-up on the way, looking ahead into the first part of next week. Expect partly cloudy skies to stick around for the start of the week on Monday, high temperatures, heading into the lower 40s by Monday afternoon.
We watch a strong low pressure system walk into the region for the middle of the week next week. Rain showers will develop across the region Tuesday afternoon and a Tuesday evening and stick around until Wednesday. High temperatures heading for the upper 40s on Tuesday, then into the middle 50s by Wednesday.
Once the cold front rolls through the region, much colder changes move in for the end of next week. Expect a chance of snow showers on Thursday thanks to another strong northwesterly flow moving in behind that cold front. High temperature is dropping into the upper 30s on Thursday.
A filtered sunshine returns to the forecast for the end of next week on Friday. Expect partly sunny skies for the end of the week, high temperature is a few degrees warmer as we head into the lower 40s by Friday afternoon.
