More sunshine before first round of 70° temperatures arrive in Metro Detroit this weekend

The spring-like temperatures coming with rain chances and breezy winds into the weekend

Rain moves back into the region with breezy winds looking ahead into the weekend (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After plenty of sunshine on Wednesday and colder temperatures behind the cool front that moved through on Tuesday, we’ll warm things up again starting on Thursday and looking ahead to the first part of the weekend.

Weekend forecast

High pressure will firmly control the forecast through the end of the upcoming week, so that will keep the sunshine around at least for the next few days before a little more cloud cover rolls in for the end of the week on Friday.

But we’ve got another spring warm-up on the way, looking ahead to the end of the week. We keep the sunshine in the forecast through Friday, with a little more cover working on Friday afternoon and into Friday evening.

High temperature is warming into the 50s by Thursday, and back into the 60s for Friday, then heading into the lower 70s by the first part of the weekend on Saturday.

Our rain chances return to the forecast for the upcoming weekend. Two waves of rain are on the way, one for Saturday and one for Sunday.

Once the rain is out of the region by the end of the weekend, we will bring some sunshine into the forecast.

Next week

Colder temperatures will also arrive next week. The high temperature will drop into the 40s on Monday and warm back up to the 50s by next Tuesday.

We will keep the dry weather in the forecast for the middle of next week.

Temperatures will rebound back into spring-like territory, and high temperatures will reach the 60s by Tuesday.
