Soaring into the 60s and 70s

Warming trend continues through Saturday with thunderstorm chances

DETROIT – TODAY

The pick day of the week with high temperatures surge to either side of 70 both today and tomorrow. A little breezy, but dry with increasing clouds. Gusts will reach 20 MPH. There is a chance of non-severe thunderstorms later tonight into tomorrow morning.

SATURDAY

Rain pushes out by late morning. Windy conditions are expected Saturday, with gusts over 40 MPH. There is a chance of thunderstorms returning late Saturday and Saturday night. Temperatures reach the low 70s before falling into the 50s on Sunday. Heavy rain will be possible late Saturday.

SUNDAY

Temperatures cool off into the 50s Sunday morning with falling temperatures through the day and lows dropping back into the 20s by Monday morning.

NEXT WEEK

Temperatures will be around 50 on St. Patrick’s Day. Rising back into the 60 on Tuesday and Wednesday before another cool down Thursday that could bring rain changing over to snow on the first day of Spring.
