DETROIT – Additional showers lift into Southeast Michigan early this morning with falling temperatures through the day.
Sunday
By late morning, we will have a break in the rain, which I think will allow for drier conditions for the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Downtown Detroit.
As a colder airmass builds in and another wave of precipitation builds in later this afternoon, some minor snow accumulations will be possible closer to Saginaw and Flint.
We will see a bit of a mixture here late afternoon/event, but most should be out by 7 PM.
Northwest gusts will be in the 20-30 MPH range today, which is a little improvement from yesterday. Temperatures return closer to mid-March averages late today as we fall into the 40s.
Next week
Lows Monday morning will drop below freezing.
Temperatures will be in the 40s on St. Patrick’s Day.
Rising back into the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday before another cool day Thursday that could bring rain changing over to snow on the first day of Spring.
We will be back to either side of 50.
