Rain, snow showers along with gusty winds for Metro Detroit to start the week

Temperatures remaining below average for the first part of the week

After a chilly and breezy into the weekend with chances for rain and snow showers, we will keep the active weather in the forecast, looking ahead into the start of the work week.

Expect another chance of rain and snow showers throughout our Monday, and we will keep the breezy winds into the forecast as well. Winds will gust as high as 35 to possibly 40 mph through a good chunk of the day on Monday.

Temperature is not moving a whole lot throughout the day, starting off into the 30s and warming into the low 40s by the time we get to Monday afternoon.

Looking ahead into the next few days, high-pressure will build into the region, and we will start to dry things out. Will bring a mixture of sunshine and clouds back into the forecast for Tuesday, high temperatures warming back into the low of mid 40s by the time we get to Tuesday afternoon.

The dry weather sticks around through the middle of the week on Wednesday and into Thursday as well. We will start to see temperatures warm up a little as we headed into the second half of the week. High temperatures warming into the 50s by the time we get toward the end of the week.

Chances for rain showers are back into the forecast by the end of the weekend looking ahead into the upcoming weekend.

Expect widespread rain showers for the end of the week on Friday, before scattered rain showers stick around for the start of the weekend on Saturday. High temperatures and lower 50s on Friday, warm into the upper 50s by the time we get to the first part of the weekend on Saturday.

We will keep the rain showers into the forecast for the end of the weekend on Sunday, and expect temperatures to get warmer, we head into the low to mid 60s by Sunday afternoon.
