After a cloudy day on Monday with a few rain and snow showers for most everyone, we will bring some much needed sunshine into the forecast looking ahead into the next few days.
High-pressure will build into the region and we will start to dry things out looking ahead into the middle of the week. We will bring a mixture of sunshine and clouds back into the forecast for Tuesday, high temperatures warming back into the low of mid 40s by the time we get to Tuesday afternoon.
The dry weather sticks around through the middle of the week on Wednesday and into Thursday as well. We will start to see temperatures warm up a little as we headed into the second half of the week. High temperatures warming into the 50s by the time we get into Thursday, and into the end of the week on Friday
Chances for rain showers are back into the forecast by the end of the weekend looking ahead into the upcoming weekend.
Expect a chance of rain showers for the end of the week on Friday, before scattered rain showers stick around for the start of the weekend on Saturday. High temperatures into the middle 50s on Friday, will warm into the lower 60s by the time we get to the first part of the weekend on Saturday.
A strong low pressure system and cold front will work into the region looking ahead into the end of the weekend and start of next week. We will look for an increase in the coverage of rain showers throughout the day on Sunday, and with some instability close by, we will bring in the chance of a few thunderstorms, but it will not be widespread for Sunday. High temperatures will head into the lower 60s by the end of the weekend.
The risk of severe weather has changed just a little bit, as the Storm Prediction Center has shifted the risk of severe weather for Sunday out of the region, just to our south into Northern Ohio and Northern Indiana, and we will keep an eye on that as we work into the end of the week.
With this system moving through the region on Monday, colder air will move into the region as well, so expect temperatures to drop into the 40s looking ahead to the start of next week. Rain showers that stick around on Monday will change over to some snow showers Monday evening as temperatures close in on that freezing mark.
