A couple of rain showers will try to pass through Southeast Michigan on Friday morning, mainly south of I-94. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will bring a chance of rain showers and thunderstorms to the entire region during the afternoon and early evening.
After starting off with temperatures in the 30s and 40s, expect highs in the mid 60s in Metro Detroit.
The rain will clear out of Southeast Michigan on Friday evening and leave behind partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the mid 50s in the north of M-59 and upper 50s near Detroit.
Saturday will bring a mix of sunshine and clouds, and another chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be around 70 degrees.
The chance of rain will continue into Saturday night. Lows will be in the lower 50s.
Sunday could be active. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday. Some storms could become strong to severe. All of Southeast Michigan is currently under a slight (or level two of five) risk for severe thunderstorms. Threats from the strongest storms would include gusty winds, hail, and the possibility of an isolated tornado.
Sunday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. Lows will be in the lower 40s.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms will last into Sunday night as a cold front sweeps across Southeast Michigan.
Monday’s warmest temperatures will occur during the early morning hours. Morning temperatures will be in the 50s, but temperatures will tumble into the 30s and 40s in the afternoon. Rain showers will transition into snow showers as the air gets colder.
