Metro Detroit to emerge from chilly blast this weekend

Highs near 50 degrees Friday, mid- to upper-50s this weekend

4Warn Weather – Drizzle, mist, and fog are leading to damp and dreary conditions in Metro Detroit.

Many people woke up to snow on the ground and vehicles Thursday morning, with at least two inches in some spots.

The Irish Hills, Ann Arbor, Romulus, and Downriver reported the higher totals.

The chance of fog and mist will continue into the night. The low will be in the upper-20s to lower-30s. The cooler temperatures will be west of I-275 and north of M-59.

Freezing temperatures could lead to isolated slick spots due to residual moisture on sidewalks and roads. Winds will be out of the north-northeast at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday

Friday will bring a mixture of sunshine and clouds, with milder temperatures.

Expect highs in the upper-40s to 50 degrees. Northerly winds will be 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Skies will be mostly clear on Friday night. Lows will be in the upper-20s to lower-30s.

Saturday

A high-pressure system will dominate this weekend and deliver mostly pleasant weather.

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the mid-50s. It will be mostly clear at night, with lows in the mid-30s.

Sunday

Sunday will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. It will be mostly cloudy at night, with lows in the mid-40s.

Monday

Monday may bring a couple of spotty rain showers. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy. Highs will be in the mid-60s to near 70 degrees, and lows will be in the mid- to upper-40s.

Looking Ahead

Expect a cooldown as temperatures return to normal and a few degrees below average. For the rest of the week, highs will be in the 50s.
