Temperature roller coaster leads to normal weather for Easter in Metro Detroit

Warmer on Monday, temps tumble on Tuesday in Southeast Michigan

4Warn Weather – It will be warmer on Monday, but temperatures will tumble on Tuesday in Southeast Michigan.

Sunday night will be mostly cloudy with the chance of a few rain showers, mainly north of M-59. Lows will be in the mid-40s. Winds will out of the south-southeast around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Monday

A few spotty rain showers will be possible Monday afternoon as a cold front sweeps across the Great Lakes. Winds will pick up as the front makes its way through Southeast Michigan. Winds will be out of the south-southeast in the morning and west-southwest in the afternoon. Speeds will be 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Following a mild start to Monday with morning temperatures in the 50s, highs will reach the mid-60s in the afternoon.

It will be partly cloudy on Monday night, with lows in the upper-30s to 40 degrees.

Tuesday

A mostly cloudy and breezy Tuesday will only see highs in the upper-40s to 50 degrees. Under partly cloudy skies, nighttime temperatures will fall to around 30 mph.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with lows in the lower 30s.

Wednesday and Thursday

Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Lows will be in the lower-30s on Wednesday night and lower-40s on Thursday night.

The chance of rain will return late next week. Metro Detroit will get another multi-day chance of showers beginning Thursday night and through Saturday morning.

Looking Ahead

Easter looks to be fine for outdoor activities. Sunday’s skies will be partly cloudy, with highs in the mid 50s.
