4Warn Weather – It’s been a record-setting day in southeast Michigan! The old record was 56 degrees, set back in 2001, but on Friday, we made it well into the 60s, setting a new daily record high temperature. But cooler changes are on the way next week.

Weekend forecast

For the rest of tonight, clouds are increasing, with a quick passing shower around midnight until 2 a.m. This rain won’t be widespread and will be of little impact. Temperatures overnight drop into the lower 40s. The rest of the weekend looks alright, with partly cloudy skies and highs near 50 on Saturday and in the lower 40s on Sunday.

Next week

Next week, reality sets back in as cooler temperatures, the clouds, and even some rain and snow return. Our first chance is looking pretty slim on Tuesday, as a system looks to miss us just to our southeast.

It’ll be close, though, and a few flakes can’t be ruled out here and there. The better chance, though, for a rain/snow mix comes Thursday with another clipper system.

This looks to start as rain, then change to snow. Some snow showers may even linger into Friday as well. This all being supported by cooler temperatures. Highs for the second half of next week are back in the upper 30s.
