A winter storm is expected to move through Michigan on Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning.
This will bring several inches of snow to different areas of the state.
Most of Metro Detroit is expected to get 3-6 inches of snow, while 6-8 inches of snow is expected for Huron, Macomb, Sanilac and St. Clair counties.

Portions of central and southwest Michigan are expected to get 4-6 inches of snow, while northern lower Michigan will see snow accumulations of 3-6 inches in most areas.

The Upper Peninsula is expected to see 1-2 inches of lake-effect snow.

Winter weather advisory
Winter weather advisories have been issued for more than 50 counties across the state due to the storm. The advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, through 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13.
