DETROIT – Slow warming trend through the weekend into early next week as the jet stream shifts farther north, but before you get too excited, wind chills will be hanging around so those 40 degree temperatures next week won’t necessarily feel like it.
You might see a few flurries fly on this Friday. Otherwise, clouds linger with highs in the upper 20s.
We stay mostly dry over the weekend with a better chance of precipitation Monday and Tuesday.
Highs on Saturday will be near 30 and then into the mid-30s on Sunday. The temperatures will continue to rise into next week with highs near 40 Monday through Wednesday. Long-range models are pulling in a chance for a rain or freezing rain/mix on Monday. Another rain chance creeps in Tuesday.
We will continue to monitor those chances over the next few days as we get a better idea of the precipitation type.
