Rain turns to snow, creating slippery morning commute as temps drop in Metro Detroit

Thursday highs in upper 30s; Friday highs in lower 40s

4Warn Weather – Rain is expected to transition into snow, potentially making for a slippery morning commute in Metro Detroit.

We will see thunderstorms and snow in the same 24-hour period.

Overnight rain will change to snow as temperatures drop below freezing by Thursday morning.

Depending on how roads are treated, there could be a few slippery spots. Lows will be in the upper 20s. Winds will also gust over 35mph, so a Wind Advisory will go into effect from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Snow cleared out early Thursday, leaving us with partly to mostly cloudy skies, windy conditions, and much colder temperatures, with highs only in the upper 30s.

A few flakes around for Friday into the weekend. Next week we are back to the 60s!
