Wind advisory in effect for all of SE Michigan, when to expect rain and snow mix

DETROIT – Wind advisory until 3 p.m. for all of Southeast Michigan due to northwest winds gusting around 45 mph, particularly in the 5-10 a.m. timeframe.

Some slick or icy spots are possible for this morning`s commute with temperatures now in the mid to upper 20s, so any wet spots could have froze over through the overnight.

Light snow showers clear out of the region by mid-morning. Conditions improve quickly this afternoon as the low pressure system exits the Great Lakes, but we remain breezy. High temperatures will struggle to reach 40,

Rain, snow on Friday

A rain/snow mix mainly south of M-59 Friday afternoon and evening with temperatures climbing near 40, minimal accumulations expected.

Warmer days ahead

Some more sunshine and seasonal temperatures return to start the weekend as we stay on either side of 40. We then rise to the upper 40s on Sunday. Well above average temperatures arrive to start the next work week with highs in the 60s possible Tuesday and Wednesday.
